Treedom est une installation "symbole" conçue pour le Sziget Festival à Budapest.
C'est un lieu de retrouvailles ou de rendez-vous, pensé autour d'une image simple, la forêt. Plus qu'une sculpture, c'est une installation monumentale qui peut être traversée et sentie de l'intérieur.
Un réseau de poteaux-arbres est aléatoirement dispatché sur une grille orthogonale pour créer la sensation d'un ensemble sauvage, tout en comprenant différentes densités et transparences selon le point de vue. Chaque arbre est attaché à ses voisins directs par les branches, accentuant l'impression d'être au milieu d'une forêt.
Des bancs relient les arbres à leur bases, offrant des petits salons en plein air. L'installation offre une légère ombre pendant le jour mais aussi une chaude ambiance la nuit en étant illuminée depuis la canopée...

Treedom is an emblematic installation designed for the SZIGET festival.
The aim is to gather people around a simple symbol, in this case the forest. More than a simple sculpture, we propose a huge installation that can be walked through, and experienced from within.
A network of pole trees is randomly dispatched on a square grid to create a seemingly wild ensemble, with various densities and transparencies depending on the viewpoint.
Each tree is fastened to its neighbouring ones by the branches, which emphasizes the feeling of being in a forest.
Some benches join the trees at their bases, offering outdoor lounges. The installation provides a slight shade during the day, but also a warm ambiance at night time, being illuminated from the canopy.
